💫August 25, 2025: Highlights of a soulful morning sadhana🎼

🌷✨Jagadguru Shri Kripalu Ji Maharaj ki Jai!✨🌷

Jagadguru Aadesh:

Respect and Disrespect -

By reflecting on and controlling your reactions to respect and disrespect, you will progress much faster in your devotional practice. These are two enemies that lead you to commit transgressions.

Respect - When someone praises you, even though you may outwardly deny it, you feel happy within. The reason for this is pride - you have tried throughout your life to ensure that no one speaks ill of you. You always make efforts to appear good in front of others instead of truly becoming good.

Disrespect - You feel hurt when insulted because of your desire for respect. When someone insults you, anger arises - a fire rages within. Anger destroys the intellect.

The reasons for these are:

1. You are under the influence of Maya, and therefore, you are ignorant and identify with the body.

2. You are hungry for spiritual happiness and are willing to do anything to attain it.

Respect and disrespect will continue to exist in the world. Think in solitude: "Which shortcoming do I not have among lust, anger, greed, and others?" By doing this, you will become humble and will not feel as hurt. You must conquer the feelings of pride in praise and pain in humiliation.

When you step on grass, it bends beneath your feet. When you throw stones at a tree, it gives fruit in return. You must become humbler than a blade of grass and more tolerant than a tree.

So far, you have considered the mind to be your friend. Now your Guru has made you understand that it is, in fact, your true enemy, and you must no longer listen to it. It will take effort to act against the mind, but with practice, you can certainly do it.

Kirtan:

- Saras Kishori vayas ki thori (Prem Ras Madira, Prakeerna Madhuri, pad no. 22)

- Hare Ram sankirtan + Ramayan chaupai (in the same tune)

hā raghunaṃdana prāṇa pirīte। tumha binu jiyata bahuta dina bīte॥
